Abstract

This research aims determine the number, distribution, and physical environmental conditions of certain populations such as female sex workers, men who have sex with men, transgender women, injecting drug users, pregnant women, and others; create a social map of key populations and locations of health services and civil society organizations working to prevent HIV in the region; and create HIV prevention plans and actions in Bandung Regency. Data collection was carried out for 3 weeks starting from October 2023 to November 2023 located in Bandung Regency. The data collection method was carried out in five ways, namely Capture Recapture, Questionnaire, Database Extraction, Desk Review, and FGD as well as data analysis techniques used with three approaches in this research, namely Statistics, Content Analysis, Geographic Plotting/Mapping. The results of this study show that the key HIV population in Bandung Regency is dominated by the group of men who have sex with men (MSM), with the largest hotspots in Cileunyi and Katapang subdistricts. The key population group is generally aged 21-35 years, has a high school education, and is unmarried. Although knowledge about HIV/AIDS remains low overall, MSM show better awareness of risk behaviors, including condom use. In terms of access to services, the majority of key populations have had an HIV test, with 13.81% of them confirmed positive. Katapang Community Health Center is the most widely accessed health service, but some key populations are reluctant to access nearby services due to concerns about being identified. Peers and NGOs play an important role in encouraging key populations to test for HIV.
