Abstract

Indonesia is geologically located in two large mountain ranges in the world, namely the Mediterranean Mountain range and the Pacific Circum, providing an opportunity for Indonesia to develop natural tourism such as geotourism. Geotourism is a special interest tourism by utilizing the potential of natural resources such as landforms, rocks, geological structures and earth history. Examples of geotourism objects are volcanoes, lakes, hot springs, beaches, rivers, and other earth phenomena. The scope of Geotourism Potential Identification and Inventory is divided into three, namely regional scope, material scope and activity scope. The preparation of the study of Identification and Inventory of Tourism Potential in Geothermal Areas is carried out using exploratory and descriptive research methods with qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data was collected using survey methods, both primary and secondary data surveys. Primary data collection techniques were carried out through field observations and interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data collection techniques were carried out through literature studies. The purpose of the Geotourism Potential Identification and Inventory activity in the Bandung Regency Geothermal Area is as a form of further planning from the RIPPARDA of Bandung Regency in 2021.
