ANALYSIS OF LEADING ECONOMIC SECTORS IN BANDUNGREGENCY

Abstract

In the studies that had been prepared previously, regarding the leading economic sectors in Bandung
Regency, several conclusions and data were produced that could describe the economic conditions
in Bandung Regency as material for preparing economic planning in the future. Based on GRDP per
sector in Bandung Regency in 2016 there were 3 sectors that had the highest GRDP share value,
both in total and the average sector share of each sub-district, there were three sectors that had
above average share, namely the manufacturing industry ( sector C), wholesale and retail trade; car
and motorcycle repair (sector G), as well as agriculture, forestry and fisheries (sector A). The
tourism sector is an economic sector that is currently growing rapidly in Bandung Regency.
Therefore, the discussion on economic potential, opportunities and problems in Bandung Regency
in the next chapter is focused on 4 (four) sectors, namely agriculture, forestry and fisheries;
processing industry, trading; as well as tourism.
